Roving Engineer - Technomar Shipping Inc. Technomar Shipping Inc. is seeking a dedicated Roving Engineer to join our Technical department. As a Roving Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the overall maintenance and operation of our vessels. Key responsibilities Conduct regular technical audits and inspections onboard vessels to ensure compliance with company policies, classification society rules, and international maritime regulations. Provide technical support and guidance to Chief Engineers on operational issues, troubleshooting, and machinery performance optimization. Assist with voyage planning and preparation, ensuring vessels are adequately provisioned with spare parts, lubricants, and other necessary supplies. Oversee maintenance and repair work during port calls and drydockings, ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to budget and schedule. Identify and implement cost-saving measures to optimize vessel operations. Previous experience of 12 months seagoing as a Chief Engineer within the shipping industry, preferably Containers and Bulk Carriers. Experience with other types will be considered. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure. Proficiency in relevant software and technical tools. Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Proficiency in written and spoken English.
