Job Description As a Residential Roving Underwriter you will be providing onsite support to our brokers to manage relationships and increase future business submissions by underwriting applications against Group Lending Criteria and providing feedback on the quality of cases to raise the knowledge of brokers. You will be working with brokers in Essex, Herts, London and the South East. As a Residential Roving Underwriter you will be: Reviewing and assessing new enquiries and referrals, making accurate and informed decisions to ensure a full and accurate response is provided to the broker within agreed Service Level Agreements Maintaining a competent knowledge level for underwriting Personal Finance applications to a high standard Maximising sales opportunities by taking a common sense approach to lending across both departments, whilst assessing the risk to the business Providing regular onsite Underwriting Support to our key broker partners, assisting with and improving application submission quality Providing training on all aspects of packaging , internal CUPD and RUPD process and underwriting topics to intermediaries and channel colleagues as SME's Accurately assessing the risk and provide a rationale on each application ensuring that the loan is affordable, plausible and sustainable and meets the requirements for the correct lending decision Providing an enhanced level of service to our key broker partners, building and maintaining relationships to a high level Having a strong focus on fraud avoidance at all stages of an application Effectively using MI to monitor and analyse broker performance and identifying trends Qualifications Essential: Residential underwriting experience within the secured lending or residential mortgage market A proven and experienced lending decision maker Experience of managing broker relationships Strong relationship and presentation skills Experience of designing and delivering training sessions Strong Communication skills Ability to analyse data and identify trends Good knowledge of specialist lending market place If you feel you have some of the skills mentioned above, but not all, please do still apply and we would be happy to have a further discussion with you in regards to your suitability for the role.
