RPL COORDINATOR – SHAPE THE FUTURE OF LEARNING AT EIT

Are you passionate about education? As our RPL Coordinator you can help our students turn their previous learning into recognised qualifications! If you thrive on organisation, collaboration, and making sure processes run smoothly, you may be exactly who the Engineering Institute of Technology (EIT) is looking for. We need a proactive and detail-oriented RPL Coordinator to oversee our Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) processes. This role is essential in guiding students through the RPL journey, ensuring their prior learning is recognised and credited toward their academic success.

JOB DESCRIPTION

As the RPL Coordinator, you’ll be the go-to expert for RPL queries, assessments, and policy compliance across all our higher education courses. You’ll collaborate closely with academic teams and administrative staff to ensure students experience seamless, high-quality RPL processes that align with our commitment to academic excellence.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Act as the primary contact for all RPL queries from prospective and current students, admissions, course advisors, and learning support officers.
  • Advise students and administrative teams on the outcomes of RPL applications, ensuring clarity and prompt communication.
  • Oversee the entire RPL application process, from reviewing documents to requesting additional information, and finalising credit acknowledgment.
  • Present RPL information sessions for students, ensuring they are informed during orientations and throughout the semester.
  • Process informal appeals if students submit additional evidence and manage deadlines for re-evaluation.
  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate records of all RPL applications, assessment outcomes, and ensure compliance with internal policies.
  • Keep the RPL register current, updating qualifications and changes as needed.
  • Collaborate with course coordinators to ensure that articulation documents are accurate and up to date.
  • Review and suggest updates to RPL policies to keep pace with evolving industry standards and educational regulations.
  • Implement stakeholder feedback to continuously improve RPL procedures, documentation, and systems.
  • Train and support administrative and academic staff on their roles in the RPL process, ensuring compliance and consistency.
  • Select, allocate, and provide ongoing professional development to academic staff involved in RPL assessments.
  • Review and approve invoices for academic staff conducting RPL evaluations.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE:

  • While exact RPL experience isn’t a requirement, it will be highly regarded. Otherwise, 2-3 years’ experience in an RTO or Higher education environment will make you a strong candidate.
  • Significant experience in articulation, credit arrangements, and deep knowledge of RPL processes and higher education policies.
  • A strong focus on quality outcomes and adherence to compliance and regulatory standards.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills, with a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
  • The ability to work collaboratively with academic and administrative teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Student Management Systems, and strong record-keeping capabilities.
Ready to Make an Impact? If you’re eager to support students in their academic journey, ensuring their prior learning is acknowledged and rewarded, we want to hear from you! Join us at EIT, where you’ll have the chance to lead and innovate in the world of RPL while growing both personally and professionally.
today and become part of a forward-thinking team dedicated to fostering educational excellence and inclusivity!
