Technical Expertise 8+ years of experience in application/solution architecture with a strong focus on enterprise SaaS and digital modernization. Experience architecting workflow automation, document/records management, and case management solutions in SaaS environments. Experience designing hybrid integration architectures using Azure / Entra ID and secure access models. Strong experience designing integrations using APIs, webhooks, middleware, and iPaaS platforms. Experience designing and implementing solutions using OpenText and familiarity with ServiceNow. Proven ability to design scalable, modular solutions using configuration over customization. Strong understanding of security, privacy, retention, and compliance in public sector environments. Comfortable operating at both strategic and technical depth. Additional Technical Lead Experience Experience acting as a technical lead for digital products or SaaS platforms. Experience reviewing application code and front-end architectures (React preferred). Experience working with vendors and outsourced development teams. Experience supporting CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. Key Responsibilities Application Architecture & Solution Design Lead architecture of secure, scalable SaaS solutions including OpenText, ServiceNow and other enterprise applications. Define integration patterns across SaaS, legacy systems, cloud, and enterprise data platforms. Translate business needs into modular solution designs. Produce architecture artifacts including reference models and data flows. Digital Experience Platform & Technical Leadership The Senior Applications Architect will act as the technical lead for Supply Ontario’s Digital Experience Platform, including: SupplyOntario.ca VOR Access & Vendor Reporting Account and User Management Future digital services Responsibilities include: Provide technical leadership for the DxP architecture and codebase. Conduct architecture and code reviews to ensure quality, security, and maintainability. Define coding standards, architectural patterns, and development best practices. Guide implementation of the Supply Ontario Design System in React applications. Ensure consistency across front-end and full-stack implementations. Provide technical oversight of vendor delivery teams. Support DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and release governance. Act as the bridge between Enterprise Architecture and delivery teams. Enterprise Governance & Standards Establish governance and configuration standards for SaaS platforms. Ensure alignment with OPS directives, privacy, and data policies. Support business cases, procurements, and vendor evaluations. Contribute to enterprise architecture roadmaps. Stakeholder Leadership & Discovery Lead discovery and architecture workshops. Translate complex technical concepts for executives and business partners. Build alignment across architecture, product, and vendor teams. Delivery & Implementation Support Provide hands-on technical leadership during delivery. Guide sprint planning, backlog refinement, and solution validation. Support cloud integration and release management. Additional Technical Leadership Conduct architecture and code reviews for vendor and internal teams. Provide oversight of pull requests, branching strategies, and release practices. Establish quality gates and definition of done. Support troubleshooting of complex technical issues.
