The VOR Master Service Agreement which expires on April 5, 2026, leaves some Contracts with funding unassigned for fiscal 2025-26. If the current statement of work expires March 31, 2026, the remaining funds can be used to exercise an option to extend the SOW beyond March 31, 2026 based on business case approvals. Such extensions will be allowable, only if the Master Service Agreement is extended beyond April 5, 2026 and be upon the same terms, conditions, covenants contained in the SOW.
NOTE: This position is currently listed as “Onsite”; however, the Assignment under this request will provisionally be “Hybrid”, working 7.25 hours per calendar day, sometime between 8:00-5:00 PM (excluding lunch breaks) Monday to Friday inclusive, unless otherwise identified. These conditions are subject to change as the OPS reflects on its current situation. During the duration of the assignment you will be under the discretion of the Hiring Manager’s requirements for the Project you are assigned to.
The start date is subject to change based on security clearances and contract signing timelines.
Scope:
Senior Programmer/Developer (L3) – Corrections Systems Portfolio
The Corrections Systems Portfolio is seeking a temporary Senior Programmer/Developer (Level 3) with 10+ years of experience to support the design, development, and maintenance of multiple systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for translating business requirements into robust, tested software solutions, including enhancements, troubleshooting, and break/fix support.
Deliverables:
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables:
o Engage with business clients, including executives and subject matter experts (SMEs), to understand business needs.
o Design technically sound solutions that align with GO-ITS and industry standards.
o Collaborate closely with JTS SMEs throughout the development lifecycle.
o Design and develop new interfaces for .NET-based systems within the Corrections portfolio.
o Create detailed programming specifications, UI designs, prototypes, and generate application code.
o Conduct unit testing, debug code, and compile data-driven programs.
o Provide ongoing support for incident resolution, defect fixes, and change management.
o Participate in coding and development of application components including:
o User interfaces
o Data services
o Data synchronization
o Deployment services
o Attend and contribute to project design sessions, JAD walkthroughs, and architecture reviews.
o Produce software architecture documentation and system design artifacts (e.g., use cases, class diagrams, component/state diagrams).
o Develop documentation for testing, implementation, and defect tracking in accordance with OPS standards.
o Participate in unit, system, and integration testing.
o Prepare installation packages and deployment documentation.
o Support user authentication and access control development based on business rules.
o Maintain and update technical documentation, user guides, and training materials.
o Provide regular status reports, briefing notes, and other required documentation.
o Document all work and artifacts completed during the project.
o Ensure comprehensive knowledge transfer to internal staff upon project completion.
o Attend meetings related to issue resolution and provide presentations as needed.
o Undertake special assignments or sub-projects as directed.
o Adhere to JTS PMO and Enterprise Architecture documentation requirements.
o Ensure all deliverables meet OPS standards and project timelines.
