Job Summary This position requires an expert in database administration with experience in Oracle and Microsoft Azure SQL, along with a strong understanding of Microsoft Azure technologies and database replication. It is an onsite role with a deadline for candidate submissions of March 30, 2026, 3:00 p.m. Responsibilities Participate in the review of project and maintenance release artifacts. Prepare and implement database changes according to design. Promote database changes across various environments. Prepare, install, configure operating systems, databases, and patches. Maintain, administrate, and tune the performance of databases including Oracle, Microsoft Azure SQL, Synapse, and Mainframe IMS, DB2 databases. Provide database space calculations for the supported environments. Perform reference data administration as required. Plan and coordinate implementation with various technical teams. Design and write data loading and/or conversion scripts/stored procedures. Maintain and enhance Mainframe to Oracle data replication utilizing specific tools. Build and test database backup/recovery and automation scripts. Deliver detailed system design documents and other supporting documentation. Document and resolve database problems/issues. Provide effective knowledge transfer to Ministry staff. Skill Set Requirements Expert database administration experience with Oracle, Microsoft Azure SQL, Synapse, and Mainframe (IMS & DB2) databases. Extensive experience with large-scale database systems development, capacity planning, configuration, maintenance, and performance tuning. Database development experience including stored procedure, PL/SQL, PL/I, Cobol, and Assembler. Proficiency with Microsoft Azure technologies such as storage account, file share, Azure key vault, Azure portal, and monitoring tools. Experience with IMS/DB2 to Oracle replication.
