Overview:
Presbyterian is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist in the Pulmonary Department. The RRT provides routine and advanced respiratory care responsibilities which include infant, pediatric and adult patient care.

Type of Opportunity: Full Time (0.9 FTE/36 hours per week)
Work Schedule: 12 Hour Nights

This position is eligible for the Northern New Mexico differential of $4.00 per hour. (This differential may be adjusted or discontinued based on business requirements.)

Qualifications:

  • BLS Required at Time of Hire.
  • Associates Degree in Respiratory Therapy required
  • Current New Mexico Respiratory Care Practitioner License, Security Technician plus BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP are required.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs advanced airway care, including intubation, extubation, and tracheotomy care for infants, pediatric, and adult patients.
  • Proficient in using High Flow therapy, BPAP/CPAP, ventilators, and Bubble CPAP for all age groups.
  • Conducts electrocardiograms on infants, pediatric, and adult patients in various hospital areas, including the Emergency Department, L&D, nursery, ICU, MedSurg, and PMG.
  • Implements cardiopulmonary modalities and protocols for infant, pediatric, and adult patients.
  • May perform pulmonary function testing, Holter monitor placement, and cardiac stress testing in the Pulmonary department.
  • Completes departmental-specific duties.
