Job Details Job Location: YFT Bristow HQ - Bristow, VA 20136 Position Type: Full Time Education Level: Graduate Degree Travel Percentage: None Job Shift: Day Job Category: Nonprofit - Social Services Youth For Tomorrow is looking for an experienced, Virginia licensed LPC, LCSW, Resident in Counseling or Supervisee in Social Work for our Residential Program in Bristow, 2 miles south of Manassas. We are seeking a therapist to provide individual, group, and family therapy to our on campus residents age 12 to 18. YFT offers competitive pay, continuing education, and ongoing trainings. We are a growing agency and are looking for individuals who want to be a part of our team to provide outpatient counseling/mental health services to the community. In our residential treatment program, we serve males and females ages 12 to 18 years old to include youth with varying mental health diagnoses, survivors of trauma, PSB, pregnant and parenting teens, and survivors of commercial sexual exploitation. Youth For Tomorrow is a 501 (c) (3) and a faith based, non-profit organization, founded in 1986 by Hall of Fame Football Coach Joe Gibbs. The organization is large, diverse, experienced and committed to serving the “least, the lost and the lonely” amongst us. YFT began as a residential home for at-risk boys, grew to serve girls, then reached out with community-based programs in 2012. We have offices in Loudoun, Fauquier, Fairfax and three offices in Prince William County. YFT holds one of the highest level of accreditation among behavioral health care clinical programs, being awarded national accreditation from The Joint Commission. YFT’s behavioral health services also are accredited by the Council on Accreditation (COA). Qualifications Must currently hold a Master’s Degree in Counseling or Social Work and licensure (LMHP) by the Virginia Department of Health Professions, to provide mental health therapy or counseling services OR Must currently hold a Master’s Degree in Counseling or Social Work and license eligible by the Virginia Department of Health Professions as a Resident in Counseling or Supervisee in Social Work Ability to assess treatment needs and deliver appropriate interventions. Ability to maintain all required documentation. Bi-lingual speaking skills (Spanish and English) preferred Not required Professionally facilitate counseling functions as they apply to our milieu of care. What we are looking for: Flexibility in one’s schedule to provide crisis support to clients as needed Demonstrated ability to work with adolescents and families in a counseling setting and function within an evaluation team format. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, to residents, staff and external points of contact. Proficient in mental health diagnosis and treatment Ability to assess risk and safety plan effectively Ability to develop effective professional relationships with colleagues and clients Demonstrates leadership skills and the ability to motivate and train others.
