Description The Friendly Toast, is a unique all-day brunch and bar restaurant, we are looking for an enthusiastic Runner and Busser to join our team. Our restaurant is known for its scratch-made menu, passion for people and community, and welcoming atmosphere. We are committed to providing a safe and healthy work environment for all our team members. Key Responsibilities: Assist servers in delivering food to guests in a timely and accurate manner. Clear tables and ensure that they are clean and ready for the next guest. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the dining area, including floors, chairs, and table settings. Work collaboratively with all team members to ensure a smooth and efficient service. Protects establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation and safety policies. Maintains menu presentation by keeping menus clean in good condition Maintains table setting by removing courses as completed; replenishing utensils; being alert to patron spills or other special needs. Supports wait staff by setting-up and replenishing condiment stands, trash containers liners, and bus stations. Closes dining facility by cleaning chairs and tables; sweeping and/or vacuuming floors; removing trash and recyclables from the facility. Updates job knowledge by participating in staff training opportunities. Runners: Highly skilled in providing food to the guests in an efficient and accurate manner Known for anticipating guests’ needs and deal with them accordingly. Excellent communication and guest service skills Proven record of handling stress in a fast-paced work environment Demonstrated ability to multi task Transfer food items to and from kitchen Working Conditions Position requires prolonged standing, bending, stooping, twisting, lifting products and supplies weighing 45 pounds, and repetitive hand and wrist motion. Work with hot, cold, and hazardous equipment as well as operating phones, computers, printers, and other office equipment.
