This is a remote position. A leading provider and Developer of DeFi infrastructure and software, building the next generation of on-chain finance and DeFi liquidity infrastructure on Solana, and offering a dual-protocol system designed to help safeguard traders from major market events for the safety and growth of crypto worldwide. Their offer tackle current DeFi platforms reliance on over-collateralized lending, forcing users to lock up liquidity, juggle multiple protocols, and face high liquidation risks. Their solution enables under-collateralized borrowing, programmable margin accounts, and composable strategies, all through one seamless app. It unlocks capital efficiency, reduces risk, and makes DeFi more accessible and powerful. They are looking for a Rust Smart Contract Engineer to join our core engineering team and help shape the backbone of Glow's protocol. MISSIONS You'll design, build, and optimize Rust-based smart contracts that power Glow's DeFi infrastructure, working closely with product and protocol teams to create scalable, secure, and innovative financial primitives. As a core contributor, you'll: - Design and implement smart contracts in Rust for Glow's Solana-based protocol. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to iterate, experiment, and ship high-impact protocol features. - Architect systems with a focus on security, scalability, and gas efficiency. - Contribute to developer tooling, SDKs, and integration layers that empower both internal and external builders. - Take full ownership — from concept and research to mainnet deployment and maintenance. Responsibilities: - Support the design, development, and deployment of new on-chain features. - Work collaboratively across engineering, product, and research teams to refine and test protocol logic. - Build and maintain high-quality smart contract systems with performance, resilience, and scalability in mind. - Deploy, monitor, and operate on-chain services in production. - Continuously look for innovative solutions to complex DeFi and protocol challenges through rigorous experimentation. Requirements Must have: - Minimum 2–4 years of professional software development experience. - 1–3 years working with Rust and other Web3 technologies. - Proven experience shipping smart contracts that handle real funds in production. - Strong understanding of blockchain architecture and smart contract design. - Ownership mindset and ability to move fast in an experimental, high-impact environment. - Passion for DeFi, on-chain innovation, and open-source development. Nice to have: - Experience with Solana, Anchor, or other Rust-based blockchain frameworks. - Contributions to open-source DeFi or protocol codebases. - Background in financial systems, derivatives, or risk management logic. - Previous experience in a startup or early-stage Web3 team.
