Assists with the repairs on a variety of equipment, machines and systems. These may include heating, cooling, plumbing, kitchen equipment, laundry equipment and electrical items used in the daily operations on the property. Assists with the installation of new equipment and parts as necessary. Completes maintenance and repair records as appropriate. Ensures that the premises are clean and orderly at all times. May also include some responsibilities for grounds keeping, custodial duties or any assigned task. Assists with the pumping of waste. Duties include but are not limited to: Perform general tasks included in the maintenance of equipment and buildings. Perform basic carpentry, electrical maintenance, pipefitting and plumbing tasks; scrape, putty, and paint walls, woodwork and fixtures; replace light bulbs, covers, filters and other tasks as assigned. Knowledge and ability to utilize a wide variety of hand and portable power tools. Lubricate, clean and perform maintenance on machines and equipment (including laundry equipment). HVAC tasks including maintenance of belts, pulleys, filters and troubleshooting. Carpentry including repairing structural damage, patching, painting interior/exterior and wall papered surfaces. Perform rough and finish carpentry duties in the maintenance, repair and alteration of buildings and equipment as directed. Carpet and wallpaper repair, maintenance and installation. Maintain grounds of property using hand/power tools or equipment. Occasionally perform tasks such as mowing, trimming, planting, watering, fertilizing, digging, raking, pressure washing and sweeping. Refers customer concerns or complaints to RV Resort management in a continuous effort to provide superior Resort service to the guest. Completes all assigned tasks within the Facilities purview with enthusiasm and diligence. Operates valves and gates to control the flow of waste. Rakes waste to the hose of the tanker. Lifts and moves various sized hoses. Follow all job specific processes, procedures and safety requirements. Performs and assists with other duties and responsibilities set forth by the RV. Resort Management. Requirements High School Diploma or GED Certificate. 1 year experience in one of the following areas: carpentry, electrical, building maintenance, plumbing, HVAC, laundry equipment repair or related experience. Excellent organizational, verbal, interpersonal, and customer relation skills. Basic computer skills. Analytical/mathematic skills are essential. Ability to read and comprehend written instructions. Capable of handling multiple priorities and tasks. Current and valid Oregon Drivers License, with the ability to qualify for the UIDC’s Drivers Program.
Responsibilities
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment, buildings, and systems including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical. Maintain the resort grounds through landscaping, cleaning, and waste pumping operations.
