Description
Job Description: DataRobot delivers AI that maximizes impact and minimizes business risk. Our platform and applications integrate into core business processes so teams can develop, deliver, and govern AI at scale. DataRobot empowers practitioners to deliver predictive and generative AI, and enables leaders to secure their AI assets. Organizations worldwide rely on DataRobot for AI that makes sense for their business — today and in the future. Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization: As RVP of Professional Services for Emerging Markets (middles east and Africa), you will be the most senior technical leader responsible for building, scaling, and driving the performance of DataRobot’s Professional Services organization, overseeing both the Forward Deployed Engineering and Customer Success Engineering teams. You will own the end-to-end technical delivery lifecycle—from scoping and pitching professional services engagements to ensuring high-quality delivery and production-grade operationalization—while maintaining P&L responsibility for the region. Key Responsibilities: Commercial Strategy & P&L Ownership Own and manage the regional Professional Services P&L, budget, and operating plan, ensuring achievement of margin targets and overall financial health of the regional services business. Lead the scoping, solutioning, and pitching of professional services for strategic opportunities, partnering closely with Sales to define high-impact, value-driven engagements. Collaborate with Regional Sales and Account Management leadership to build services strategies that support pipeline acceleration, revenue goals, and expansion. Professional Services Team Leadership & Scaling Lead, scale, and develop the Professional Services organization, overseeing both the Forward Deployed Engineering and Customer Success Engineering teams across MEA. Own workforce planning, capacity management, and resource utilization to efficiently balance team delivery against the dynamic book of business. Recruit, assess, and develop high-performing technical talent, implementing performance management frameworks to recognize excellence and address underperformance. Delivery Excellence & Operational Rigor Define and govern the regional service delivery methodology, ensuring consistent, repeatable, and high-quality outcomes across the entire customer lifecycle (from onboarding to expansion). Define and enforce technical standards and MLOps best practices for customer deployments, ensuring solutions are secure, scalable, and maintainable at enterprise scale. Monitor customer satisfaction, delivery quality, and overall health of engagements to maximize customer impact and retention. Executive Engagement & Alignment Serve as the senior technical point of contact and executive sponsor for strategic enterprise customers, engaging with C-level stakeholders on delivery, architecture, and platform adoption strategies. Maintain tight alignment with Global Engineering and Deployment leadership on standards, tooling, and frameworks, ensuring MEA practices contribute to and are consistent with global strategy. Represent DataRobot externally as a thought leader at regional industry events, customer advisory boards, and partner forums. You will serve as the critical bridge between global strategy and regional execution. You will partner closely with Sales, marketing, and R&D to align technical delivery capacity with revenue growth objectives across MEA, while instilling a culture of engineering excellence, operational rigor, and customer-centricity within your team. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Technical Expertise Deep, hands-on expertise in deploying and integrating enterprise AI/ML platforms at scale across cloud and on-premise environments. Strong architectural understanding of MLOps, model CI/CD pipelines, REST API design, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and enterprise data integration patterns. Proven ability to design and oversee deployment architectures for complex, regulated enterprise environments including financial services, healthcare, and government sectors common to the MEA region. Familiarity with Generative AI and Agentic AI frameworks (LangGraph, LlamaIndex, CrewAI) and their deployment considerations is a strong advantage. Leadership & Management Demonstrated experience (minimum 3–5 years) leading and scaling regional or global deployment, solutions, or platform engineering teams, including hiring, performance management, and career development across distributed geographies. Strong ability to manage a matrixed organization with both direct and dotted reporting lines across time zones. Exceptional executive-level communication skills — able to translate technical complexity into clear business outcomes for C-level audiences. Commercial Acumen Strong understanding of the commercial dynamics of a post-sales technical function, including utilization management, delivery efficiency, and the relationship between technical success and revenue retention and expansion. Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications: Experience 10–14 years of progressive experience in software engineering, platform deployment, or AI/ML technical roles, with a minimum of 4 years in a senior management or VP-level leadership position. Education Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field required; MS or PhD preferred. Cloud Experience Expert-level, hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform including enterprise security, networking, and compliance considerations. Regional Experience Demonstrated experience working across the MEA region, with an appreciation for the cultural, regulatory, and commercial diversity of key markets including GCC and Europe DataRobot Platform Expert familiarity with the DataRobot AI Platform is a strong plus.
