Description

Southwest Dermatology & Vein is looking to add a registered vascular technologist to our team! We are a dermatology and vein practice focused on superficial venous problems including venous insufficiency, stasis dermatitis and venous ulceration. While experience is a plus, new graduates and those with limited venous experience are welcome to apply. Certification as an RVT and/or RVS is required for this position. Job duties include ultrasound scanning for venous insufficiency, DVTs, pre-operative marking and injection guidance for endovenous chemical ablations, assisting with laser ablations and helping room and perform initial screening questions of patients presenting for vein evaluation. Training is available for all of these job duties. Important attributes of a successful candidate include a positive attitude, attention to detail, ability to function independently, work well with other team members, and a strong work ethic. This RVT position is a part-time position, working 2-3 half-day shifts per week, which would be Monday - Wednesday AM. The hours would be guaranteed and set in advance with the RVT. Additional hours are available at our South Austin location (Weds 1-5 PM, Thursday 8-5 PM) if desired. If a full time position with benefits is desired, the applicant also has the option to work as a Dermatology Medical Assistant at Medical Assistant rates during non-RVT hours (5 days a week). Our office hours are 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, and the primary work location will be in our Dripping Springs clinic at 249 Sportsplex Dr. Dripping Springs, TX 78620. Additional hours could also be available in our South Austin clinic- 4419 Frontier Trl Ste 110, Austin TX 78745. There is no call, nights nor weekends expected with this position.
