QUALIFICATIONS:
Grade 12 education supplemented by completion of an office administration program certificate including bookkeeping; typing speed of 50 wpm; proficient in Microsoft Office Programs; ability to accurately record minutes of meetings; minimum of four years current clerical experience; experience in the use of relevant office equipment; working knowledge of the French language if assigned to Ecole Robb Road Elementary; meets the physical requirements of the position; ability to work independently and as a member of a team; excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Duties are performed under the supervision of the School Principal or Vice Principal or designate; prepares a variety of correspondence, reports, newsletters, and other necessary material using the appropriate word processing equipment; maintains required accounting records covering purchase orders, invoices, petty cash, school trust funds and other accounts according to procedures established by the district; prepares and maintains student records as directed by the Principal or Vice Principal and the Ministry of Education; compiles and processes staff documents including the processing and verification of staff attendance and replacement through the district Attendance Management System and other necessary reporting forms as required; processes incoming and outgoing correspondence and other material; performs telephone and reception duties; responds to staff/student needs as directed; supports students in the office by creating a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere and by referring students to appropriate school staff in a timely manner; maintains school files; assigns work to other clerical staff as required by the Principal or Vice Principal; follows proper work procedures, observes all regulations pertinent to the work, maintains a good working relationship with other employees and cooperates in maintaining a healthy learning and working environment; performs other related duties as assigned by the Supervisor; student supervision as required by the Principal or Vice Principal.
