Description
Apukka Resort Rovaniemi offers unique accommodations, unforgettable experiences, and delicious flavors to guests arriving from around the world. The role of Apukka’s hospitable and professional team is to create the setting and atmosphere for a memorable holiday in Finnish Lapland. At Apukka, new team members are welcomed just as warmly as every guest. SAFARI GUIDE Apukka Resort Oy is looking for safari guides for the autumn and winter season 2026–2027. Your role is to guide guests from all over the world in autumn and winter activities such as canoe trips, short hikes, snowmobile safaris, ice fishing trips, snowshoeing excursions, e-bike tours, and various Northern Lights tours. As a safari guide at Apukka Resort, you act as a trusted person for our guests in the nature of Lapland—you are their storyteller, creator of a sense of safety, and leader of their adventure. Your work is varied and eventful, as every day and each group of guests is different. You will spend a large part of your time outdoors in nature, and your tasks may include, for example: Snowmobile safaris: You instruct guests in the basics of driving, take care of equipment, and lead safaris safely through Lapland’s landscapes. Northern Lights tours: You take guests into the darkness, to campfires or near glass igloos to watch the dancing sky, while providing information about the phenomenon and sharing stories of local culture. Snowshoeing excursions: You guide groups through quiet winter forests and share knowledge about nature, animals, and local life. Customer service and coordination: You are present throughout the entire guest experience—greeting, outfitting, guiding, and assisting, even helping guests capture the perfect Northern Lights photo if needed. The role combines physical activity, customer service, and nature—and requires both independence and teamwork skills. What matters most is not perfect experience, but the right attitude: a willingness to learn, develop, and make guests’ holidays unforgettable. At Apukka, we work together with a positive attitude—without compromising quality. We offer a friendly, open, and loyal work community. As an employee, you are part of the Apukka family, where you can develop your skills. As a responsible operator certified by Green Key and Sustainable Travel Finland, we take care of our guests, staff, society, and the environment. Our service promise, “we meet every guest like a friend,” challenges our team every day. At Apukka, one of Lapland’s leading tourism companies, you will serve international guests.
