Salary: £28,500.00 per annum
Purpose of the role
The Safeguarding Administrator is responsible for providing administrative support to the safeguarding team, recording and tracking the workflow moving through the department and ensuring that emails are triaged within the required timeframe and escalated to the appropriate region for action. The job role is varied and requires individuals who can adapt well, manage all duties effectively and be able to work in a fast-paced environment. General duties include comprehensive administration to the internal safeguarding team.
A flexible attitude to working to meet the demands of the department is essential. The post holder will provide administrative support to the Safeguarding Team. To provide an efficient clerical support service contributing to the overall effective running of the departments. This work includes minute taking, the composition and updating of databases, spreadsheets and Service User information, which is of a confidential nature.
Duties and Responsibilities
Procedures
To record all incoming correspondence at point of contact, and actions taken and passed on to the appropriate region.
To utilise a range of computer packages, including Word, Excel, Outlook email and the internet as well as in-house systems as required.
Supporting the safeguarding of Service Users and the wider safeguarding team.
To track responses and to ensure responses are completed in a timely manner.
To assist in minute taking if requested by DSLs.
To consult with DSL and Quality Assurance assessors where appropriate.
Manage diaries and operate electronic systems. The post holder will be responsible for ensuring that diaries are kept up-to-date and that papers for meetings are available as appropriate.
Ensuring that all requests including multi-agency requests are dealt with in a timely manner.
Ensuring all records are maintained in line with company procedure and departmental processes.
To provide cover for the Safeguarding Coordinators, where necessary.
To ensure that administrative support is provided to the safeguarding team as required.
To identify and raise any continuous development suggestions when appropriate to management.
Connect and Collaborate
Work closely with your line manager and team members.
Collaborate with others, attending meetings as required.
Supporting team members and provide on-the-job training.
Provide cover for other staff as agreed by line manager.
Liaise regularly with the and safeguarding team members.

Keep up to date with all written and verbal communications (i.e. emails/messages/calls).
Ensure all records are maintained and kept up to date according to company policies and procedures.

Monitor own work levels, progress and development in the role.
Undertake all core learning and development programmes as required.
Undertake relevant learning according to agreed Personal Development Plan.
