Responsibilities

Gateshead Council’s ambitious Adult Social Care service are currently looking to recruit a Hub Partnership Officer to join our innovative Safeguarding hub. You will be educated to Degree Level or equivalent in relevant field of health and Social Care or have relevant work experience of working in services which support social care, particularly those where multiple and complex needs are prevalent.
As part of the Safeguarding hub, you will be working with a Service manager, Team Managers, Senior Practitioners, Social Workers, Assessing Officers from within Safeguarding and ASSET. As well as working closely alongside Adult Social Care Direct and partner agencies. To contribute to the delivery of an effective and efficient support service within an overarching Safeguarding Function as part of Integrated Adults and Social Care services (IASCS).
The successful candidate will have excellent communication and ICT skills. Have the confidence to work with internal and external partner agencies such as Police, NHS and other Gateshead system partners. It is also important that you have experience of multi-agency working and dealing with information of a complex and sensitive nature. You will be required to work to deadlines and can work independently. The successful candidate will also have a commitment to continuous professional development in addition to a willingness to undertake relevant training, as required by the Local Authority.
