Safer Gambling Strategy Manager Location: UK (Sunderland or Leeds), Gibraltar, or Dublin Team: Safer Gambling & Risk Reporting to: Head of Safer Gambling & Risk At tombola, we put players first — always. We’re looking for a Safer Gambling Strategy Manager to lead the development and delivery of our Safer Gambling (Safeplay) strategy across all markets. This is a highly influential role where you’ll shape how we identify risk early, design player-first journeys, and use data to reduce harm while supporting sustainable customer value. You’ll work at the heart of the business, partnering closely with Product, Tech, Data, Operations and Compliance, and acting as a key link into UKI and Global Play Well initiatives. What you’ll be doing Lead Safer Gambling Strategy Own and evolve tombola’s Safer Gambling strategy alongside the Head of SG & Risk. Embed the strategy across the business through clear roadmaps, documentation and decision papers. Translate regulatory change and insight into practical, actionable plans. Lead Safer Gambling input into new initiatives and business changes. Identification & Intervention Own the SG control framework and contact strategy across all territories. Oversee how at-risk players are identified and when and how we intervene. Partner with Data Science to evolve risk models and early-warning indicators. Track emerging risks and surface insights to inform product and operational decisions. Player-First Journey Design Collaborate with Product and Tech to design supportive, preventative and low-friction Safer Gambling journeys. Champion experimentation, testing and optimisation to improve player outcomes. Ensure journeys connect seamlessly across CRM, Product and Customer Service. Data-Led Evaluation Define and monitor KPIs, dashboards and key trends. Evaluate the effectiveness of SG frameworks and interventions. Partner with Analytics to assess impact across player outcomes, operational effort, risk and commercial considerations. Turn learning into repeatable frameworks and continuous improvement.
