JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Safety Advisor, you will support industrial construction teams in delivering safe, high-performance projects across Surrrey’s industrial sector. You will play a key role in fostering a proactive safety culture and ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and client standards.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

• 3–5 years of experience in a safety role within industrial or heavy civil construction.
• Certification in NCSO, CRSP, or CHSC (or working toward).
• Strong knowledge of Saskatchewan OH&S legislation and industry best practices.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in remote or site-based environments.

ADDITIONAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with safety administration and clerical duties.
• Understanding of environmental health and industrial hygiene.

• Implement and monitor project-specific safety programs and procedures.
• Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and hazard assessments.
• Lead incident investigations and ensure timely reporting and corrective actions.
• Deliver safety orientations, toolbox talks, and ongoing training.
• Collaborate with site leadership to identify and mitigate risks.
• Maintain accurate safety documentation and liaise with regulatory bodies as needed.
