Downer is offering an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to grow in a Zero Harm Advisor role, supporting our Citylink Maintenance contract based out of Southbank, Victoria. This role is perfect for someone passionate about safety, eager to learn, and ready to build a long-term career in Work Health & Safety. You’ll receive on-the-job training, mentoring from experienced Safety Advisors, and exposure to a variety of road maintenance environments. This is a hands-on role and is ideal for someone who is proactive, curious and keen to develop professionally. You’ll gain experience in: * Helping teams identify hazards and understand safe ways of working. * Learning how to conduct site inspections and assist in safety audits. * Assisting in incident reporting and learning how investigations are conducted * Supporting the implementation of Zero Harm initiatives. * Building strong relationships with frontline teams and supervisors * Supporting data entry, safety reporting and continuous improvement activities What you'll bring: * Certificate 4 Work Health and Safety minimum. * Exposure to civil road maintenance or construction (desirable). * A genuine interest in workplace safety and a desire to build a WHS career. * Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with multiple levels of stakeholders. * Flexible with working night shift when required. * Strong computer and data analysis skills that extend to report collation and presentation. * A commitment to safe work practices and a positive attitude.
