SMG is currently seeking a Safety Advisor for a night shift position based in Lebanon, Indiana. The primary role of a Safety Advisor is to prioritize safety in every aspect of their work, remain focused on the client’s needs, collaborate effectively within a team, manage their responsibilities independently, and adapt well to change. Overview of Job Responsibilities: Conducts site safety observations and documents findings Facilitates corrective actions when necessary Represents the contractor or Owner in progress meetings Verifies compliance with safety policies and procedures as required by law, the Owner, or the contractor Attends pre-construction planning and safety meetings Provides incident management and support Prepares documentation and reports Conducts reviews of contractor safety programs Requirements Ability to work night shifts from 6:00 PM to 4:00 AM, 5 to 6 days per week Minimum of 5 years of construction safety experience Bachelor’s degree in Safety or a related field preferred OSHA 30-Hour Certification – Construction Proven experience providing safety oversight on major construction projects Strong technical understanding of construction processes Physical Demands of the job may include: Moving about long distances Ascending/Descending stairs and ladders Remaining in a stationary position for a prolonged period Working in extreme weather Being exposed to loud noises Wearing personal protective gear correctly Step into a career with one of the industry's top safety teams.
