Description

Sweet Express, LLC, a growing transportation company in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Safety and Compliance Administrator to join our team. The Safety and Compliance Administrator will play a crucial role in ensuring that our drivers adhere to all relevant regulations and company policies, promoting a culture of safety and compliance within our organization.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Evaluate, monitor, and analyze driver compliance with local, state, and federal laws, DOT and FMCSA regulations, and company policies.
  • Resolve compliance issues promptly and efficiently, providing guidance and assistance to drivers as needed.
  • Manage internal and external compliance reporting, conduct investigations, and oversee ongoing education programs.
  • Enforce DOT and FMCSA regulations to ensure adherence and minimize risks.
  • Conduct daily audits of drivers using fleet management and tracking software.
  • Assist in implementing and monitoring compliance controls, procedures, and operational processes.
  • Maintain records of roadside inspections, citations, and other relevant compliance documentation.
  • Support ELD and Tracking management systems including mobile comm, updating gateways and truck assignments in tracking management, ELD tablet set up, and coordinating system testing for equipment options.

Other duties as assigned by management.

Physical Requirements:

· occasionally reach with hands and arms, walk; lift push or pull objects up to 20 pound.
· Hand-eye coordination necessary to operate computers and various pieces of office equipment
· Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus
