Description:
The Safety Coordinator supports the Safety Department by managing administrative, compliance, and program tracking functions. This role ensures all safety documentation, training records, and compliance requirements are current and accurate, allowing field safety leaders to focus on reducing risk in operations.
Location: Clermont, FL
Schedule: Monday thru Friday (Day Shift)
Compensation: $75,000 - $85,000 Annual

Requirements:

  • OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety and Health Certification (required).
  • First Aid/CPR and AED certification
  • Previous familiarity with safety-related recordkeeping and reporting requirements (e.g., OSHA 300 logs, injury/illness reporting). Experience in safety, HR, or compliance administration is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Excel, SharePoint, or safety management software.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Clear communication skills and ability to work across multiple departments.
  • Hands-on knowledge of hazard identification, job hazard analysis (JHA), and implementation of corrective actions.
  • Experience developing and delivering toolbox talks, safety training, and employee onboarding

Responsibilities
  • Maintain and update incident and near-miss logs, ensuring timely reporting and follow-up.
  • Oversee SDS (Safety Data Sheet) management and ensure accessibility.
  • Manage safety training rosters, certifications, and card renewals.
  • Schedule and track respirator fit-testing.
  • Monitor and replenish PPE stock; coordinate purchasing as needed.
  • Assemble and update new-hire safety orientation packets.
  • Support lockout/tagout (LOTO) compliance checks and documentation.
  • Maintain site-specific safety plans and assist with distribution.
  • Provide administrative support for audits, safety meetings, and compliance reviews.
