Description
Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory requirements (e.g. HSE, Human Tissue Authority, Home Office, HMRC).
  • Act as the appointed Biological Safety Officer (BSO).
  • Develop and maintain safety frameworks, policies, SOPs, risk assessments, and training.
  • Conduct audits, inspections, and incident investigations, providing metrics on risk and culture.
  • Maintain compliance calendars, regulatory submissions, and risk registers.
  • Provide strategic advice to senior leadership and represent the organisation with regulators.
  • Proactively influence and promote a strong health and safety culture across all sites.
