JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Safety and Compliance Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing safety and compliance programs across 4 California sites and Mississippi facilities. This role ensures that all sites meet or exceed regulatory standards and company expectations for employee safety, workplace compliance, and operational excellence. The Manager will play a key role in maintaining adherence to FDA, Hazmat, and Cal/OSHA requirements while building a strong culture of safety and accountability.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, or related field (preferred).
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in safety and compliance management within warehousing, logistics, manufacturing, or fulfillment.
  • Strong working knowledge of FDA, Hazmat, OSHA, and Cal/OSHA regulations.
  • Proven track record of developing and managing compliance programs across multiple locations.
  • Excellent leadership, training, and communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong problem-solving, risk assessment, and root-cause analysis capabilities.
  • Ability to travel regularly to QuickBox facilities (California and Mississippi).
Responsibilities
  • Oversee safety and compliance programs for four California facilities and one Mississippi facility.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including FDA, Hazmat, Cal/OSHA, and other applicable standards.
  • Conduct regular site audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop, update, and enforce workplace safety policies, training programs, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Lead investigations of workplace accidents, near-misses, and compliance violations; implement root-cause corrective actions.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies (Cal/OSHA, FDA, DOT, EPA, etc.) and manage inspections, reporting, and corrective action follow-up.
  • Provide safety and compliance training to employees, supervisors, and managers to ensure awareness and compliance at all levels.
  • Monitor hazardous materials handling, storage, and shipping processes to ensure compliance with Hazmat regulations.
  • Partner with site leadership teams to promote a proactive safety culture, reduce incidents, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Track, analyze, and report safety metrics, trends, and compliance performance to leadership.
  • Stay current on regulatory changes, industry best practices, and emerging risks, ensuring QuickBox remains in compliance.
