Explore more at mittlogik.se Summary Our customer is developing an advanced electronic device and is seeking a consultant with solid experience in product certification and functional safety compliance. You will play a key role in planning, coordinating, and executing the certification process in close collaboration with Intertek and internal R&D teams. This role requires both technical depth and regulatory understanding, ensuring that the product meets all applicable IEC standards and safety lifecycle requirements. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the certification process for an electronic product from planning through approval. Collaborate with certification bodies to define test and validation activities. Review and interpret relevant IEC standards, primarily IEC 61508 and IEC 60947, and translate them into design and process requirements. Establish and document functional safety processes, including safety lifecycle, SIL determination, and verification plans. Prepare, maintain, and review technical and regulatory documentation required for certification. Support internal teams in implementing new development and quality assurance processes aligned with certification requirements. Identify compliance gaps and propose corrective actions to ensure readiness for audits and assessments. Required Qualifications Proven experience in functional safety and product certification for electronic/electromechanical devices. In-depth knowledge of IEC 61508 (technical and regulatory aspects). Experience with IEC 60947 or related industrial control standards. Strong understanding of product development processes, safety lifecycle, and documentation control. Experience working directly with test and certification bodies Excellent ability to interpret and apply safety and quality standards in a development context. Strong communication skills and the ability to guide cross-functional engineering teams. Meritorious / Nice-to-Have Background in industrial automation, energy systems, or electrical control equipment. Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 13849, or other domain-specific safety standards.
