Responsibilities:
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
You will ensure that the Safety & Reliability attributes of our Civil Aerospace products, through all phases of their lifecycle, are understood and the risk arising from it are managed to an acceptable level. You will look after:
- Evaluation of propulsion system safety principally using Failure Modes Effects & Criticality Analysis (FMECA), Fault Tree and Event Tree analysis.
- Numerical analysis of in-service products utilising probabilistic and statistical data analysis.
- Analyse and quantify risks associated with human / system interaction including Human Reliability Assessment.
- Investigation and review of failed components and deriving root cause.
- Feedback lessons learnt from service findings to influence future product design.
- Support and influence decision making through sound engineering and numerical reasoning.
- Implementing the Safety Management System including membership of the Product Safety Review Boards.
- Contribute towards evaluation and exploitation of new and emerging capability in the field of Safety & Reliability.
