EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or its equivalent.
• At least 2 years of work experience in a health, safety and/or security lead role, including OSHA, WISHA, ADA, HAZMAT, and Emergency/Disaster Preparedness.

LICENSES/SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Instructor certification in CPR/First Aid (or ability to obtain instructor certification within 6 months)
• Possession of a current Washington State Driver’s License.
• An acceptable driving record based on an approved driver’s abstract (or Motor Vehicle Record)
• Training in crisis intervention and de-escalation strategies.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to speak a regionally top spoken language other than English is preferred (Spanish, Vietnamese, Russian, Somali, and Chinese).
• Experience in school security and emergency school response is preferred.
• Playground Inspector certification is preferred.
• Training certification in Incident Command System (ICS) is preferred.
• Possession of an OSHA 30 Hour Certification is preferred.
