Since 1933 Heath Consultants Incorporated is the leading provider of services and equipment to the natural gas and utility industry. Heath develops and manufactures its equipment in its own world-class facility located in Houston, TX. The Safety and Training (S&T) Partner is the front-line trainer for new hire orientations and Operator Qualifications (OQ).  The S&T Partner will conduct onboarding in their area of responsibility and will be expected to travel to support other areas and Projects as needed. Delivering OQ training requires that the S&T Partners be certified on the OQ platforms as dictated by the client.  The S&T Partner is often the first Heath Employee that New Hires encounter and therefore must be a positive role model for the company. Safety and Training Partners are also required to be the face of the Safety Department in the field. They will conduct GREET inspections and will support front line managers and supervisors in compliance to both regulatory and Heath expectations.  The purpose of the Safety and Training partner is to serve as an expert on client and Heath expectations to seamlessly integrate new hires into Heath, and to manage safety in the field. Candidates MUST be local to the Las Vegas, NV area  for the interview process and work environment.  RESPONSIBILITIES:  Safety Leadership & Field Presence * Serve as a visible, front-line representative of Heath’s Safety Department in the field. * Act as a positive role model for Heath’s safety culture, values, and professional standards. * Promote and reinforce a “Safety First” mindset across all levels of the workforce. * Support front-line supervisors and managers in meeting Heath and client safety expectations. * Provide real-time safety guidance and intervention to prevent incidents and injuries.  Training & Onboarding * Deliver new hire orientation programs in assigned areas of responsibility. * Ensure new hires are effectively introduced to Heath policies, procedures, expectations, and culture. * Facilitate Operator Qualification (OQ) training and evaluations in accordance with client and regulatory requirements. * Maintain required certifications on client-designated OQ platforms. * Ensure training content is delivered consistently, accurately, and professionally. * Assess trainee understanding and readiness before field deployment.  Operator Qualification (OQ) Compliance * Administer, track, and document OQ training and testing. * Verify employee qualification status prior to performing covered tasks. * Coordinate remediation or retraining when OQ gaps or deficiencies are identified. * Maintain accurate and timely training and qualification records. * Stay current on changes to OQ requirements, client standards, and regulatory guidance. Safety Inspections & Audits * Conduct GREET inspections and other field safety audits as required. * Identify hazards, unsafe acts, and non-compliant conditions. * Document findings clearly and communicate results to leadership and field personnel. * Support corrective action development and follow-up to closure. * Monitor trends and recurring issues to proactively reduce risk.  Regulatory & Policy Compliance * Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, local, and client safety regulations. * Reinforce adherence to Heath safety policies, procedures, and standards. * Assist in interpreting regulatory requirements for field personnel. * Support incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions as needed.  Collaboration & Stakeholder Support * Partner with Operations, Project Management, and Field Leadership to support safe execution of work. * Serve as a subject matter expert on Heath and client safety and training expectations. * Support projects and other geographic areas through travel as business needs dictate. * Communicate effectively with clients, supervisors, and employees regarding safety and training matters.  Continuous Improvement * Provide feedback to Safety and Training leadership on training effectiveness and field conditions. * Recommend improvements to onboarding, training content, and safety processes. * Participate in safety initiatives, campaigns, and special projects. * Stay current on industry best practices, safety trends, and training methodologies.  Perform other duties as required by supervisor.   Competencies Integrity and Trust/ Trustworthy * Is widely trusted; is seen as a direct, truthful individual; presents truthful information in an appropriate and helpful manner; admits mistakes; doesn't misrepresent himself or herself for personal gain. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. * While performing the duties of this job, the employee is expected to work indoors and outdoors. The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and can be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. * The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. * While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.
