Position Overview:   As a Safety and Asset Protection Officer at Edgewood Tahoe Resort, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety, security, and peace of mind of our guests, employees, and property. You will uphold the highest standards of vigilance, discretion, and guest service while protecting physical assets and fostering a secure and welcoming environment.   Key Responsibilities: * Monitor resort premises to prevent theft, vandalism, or unsafe conditions. * Respond swiftly and professionally to emergencies, including fire, medical, or security incidents. * Support front-of-house staff in managing guest issues that involve safety or security concerns with discretion and tact. * Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations. * Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments of guest areas, staff facilities, and equipment. * Assist with investigations of theft, fraud, or property damage. * Monitor access control systems, CCTV, and alarm systems. * Enforce key control and inventory management protocols. * Maintain detailed and accurate incident reports and security logs. * Coordinate with local law enforcement, fire departments, and emergency responders when needed. * Perform other related duties as assigned to support the overall success of the team and business. Qualifications and Skills: * Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays. * Proven experience in security, law enforcement, hospitality, or asset protection (luxury/resort environment preferred). * Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills. * Knowledge of safety protocols, emergency procedures, and surveillance systems. * Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations. * CPR, First Aid, and AED certification preferred. Physical Requirements: * Must be able to safely lift, move, and stack items weighing up to 40 lbs. *  Able to perform physical tasks, including bending, lifting, sitting and standing for extended periods.  
Responsibilities
The Safety and Asset Protection Officer is responsible for monitoring resort premises to prevent theft, vandalism, or unsafe conditions, and responding professionally to all emergencies including fire and medical incidents.
