  • Monitor compliance across your region through regular reporting and intervene when necessary to mitigate risk.
  • Provide expert guidance to operational teams, helping them manage and reduce building and safety-related risks.
  • Attend internal meetings and liaise with clients, enforcing authorities and third-party consultants regarding safety case updates and remediation projects.
  • Investigate incidents and accidents, conduct root cause analysis and lead lessons learnt reviews.
  • Identify training needs for operational staff and work with Learning & Development to ensure delivery.
  • Support operational and major works teams in ensuring regulatory compliance on fire and structural safety works for High-Risk Buildings (HRBs).
  • Assist with enforcement or contravention actions issued by the Building Safety Regulator (BSR), Fire Service or Health and Safety Executive (HSE).
  • Submit reports to relevant authorities (HSE, BSR, Fire Services) for notifiable or reportable incidents.
  • Contribute to the development of safety-related policies, procedures and guidance documents.
  • Play an active role in FirstPort’s external accreditation processes.
  • Support governance and continuous improvement initiatives across the business.
  • Participate in team meetings and support broader assurance projects as required.
