Description

The Compliance and Loss Control Manager will complete compliance audits, deliver safety training, and determine if risks meet “Best Practice” guidelines. This position requires a detailed review of risks, hands-on safety training, and program development. A key focus of the role is to identify and assess risks and effectively implement safety programs to reduce losses on prospective and existing risks. The candidate must communicate openly and clearly with underwriting, claims, broker services, and insurance agents.
The position requires approximately 30% travel.

DRIVING/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must possess and maintain a valid Driver’s License and satisfactory driving record.
  • Ability to travel to loss/incident locations.
  • Ability to maneuver in and around a vehicle and/or various incident locations.
  • Ability to lift 40 lbs.

JOB REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: BS/BA, Loss Prevention, Risk Management, or Claim designations are preferred.
  • At least three years of professional experience is required. Prior experience in fuel distribution, fleet operations, oil and gas exploration, and/or agricultural risk preferred. Claims/Property & Casualty insurance experience is highly preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel, Word, Teams, and PowerPoint. In-depth understanding of DOT and OSHA regulations (NFPA, NPGA are a plus). Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Outstanding customer service skills. Must be detail-oriented and have good analytical and decision-making initiative.
  • Maintain Independent Claims Adjuster License(s) as required by residency.

WORK FROM HOME REQUIREMENTS:

  • An internet connection, via cable or fiber, that can support 300Mbps down and 10Mbps up. A wired (Ethernet) connection to the internet is preferred for best performance.
  • A workstation, desk, or table that is ergonomically suitable for the employee’s physical needs, (standing, sitting, etc.). This workspace must support at least two 24” displays, a laptop, a docking station, a keyboard, and a mouse.
    Teleworkers must be reachable while teleworking during the employees’ regularly scheduled hours. Methods of communication include email accounts, voice calls, and messages using company-issued iPhones, Microsoft Office Teams, and other appropriate department tools and equipment. Teleworkers are expected to attend all virtual scheduled meetings with their cameras on as much as possible. Additionally, any calls and/or voicemails will be answered in a timely manner.

    Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year

Responsibilities

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: (CONSISTS OF BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO)

  • Conduct detailed compliance audits on prospective risks.
  • Timely enter and remain current on all billable and non-billable hours via entries in claim file/tasks, or other repositories.
  • Enter all travel related or other expenses in a timely manner and in accordance with company policy and directives.
  • Develop and present various training programs regarding all areas of coverage, including general liability, automobile, and workers compensation.
  • Quarterly review of claims and telematics data with all accounts.
  • Quarterly and annual reports and evaluations of all accounts.
  • Quarterly review and submission of comprehensive risk management audit for all assigned accounts.
  • Provide specific recommendations to improve desirability of prospective risks.
  • Communicate prospective risk issues or concerns and non-compliance with “best practices”.
  • Conduct field investigation and site review for initial claim assessment.
  • Oversee extended, environmental cleanups with the ability to manage remediation vendors, contractors, and other vendors.
  • Oversee job sites to verify company expected results are achieved.
  • Write and return completed reports for claims promptly and within company guidelines.
  • Enter all travel related or other expenses in a timely manner and in accordance with company policy and directives.

ADDITIONAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: (CONSISTS OF BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO)

  • Follow-up with members’ risks and third-party clients on recommendations and warranties.
  • Ensure that all workflows, procedures, departmental manuals, and standards are being adhered to and that all documents are immediately uploaded into pertinent systems.
  • Act as a resource for all departments regarding loss prevention and risk management. Provide support to the Sales team.
  • Interact with all departments and brokers to ensure open communication and cohesiveness.
  • Keep abreast of related regulations (NFPA, NPGA, DOT, OSHA, etc.)
  • Participate in special projects, inspections, or perform other duties as requested and related to core business.
  • Obtain/maintain certifications as required.
  • Maintain exemplary company service standards.
