OVERVIEW:

The SRT Group is looking for task oriented and enthusiastic individual to join our team. To ensure full compliance of commercial vehicle driver requirements in accordance with corresponding Provincial/ Federal / State Department of Transportation legislations, and further ensuring all involved and required are in order and correct to complete the job according to all SRT Logistics, business and quality standards, policies and procedures.
This role will require the candidate to work within the in Safety & Compliance department. We are an asset based trucking company so the candidate must ensure all inspections are completed thoroughly, the procedures that are set in place are being followed, and all logbooks are being handed in a timely manner and being audited correctly.

ABILITIES AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • TruckMate software knowledge is mandatory
  • Must have 1 year of recent trucking experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of Hours of Service and MTO and DOT regulations
  • Keen attention to detail, good time management, and organizational skills
  • Computer proficiency – Excellent computer knowledge – Word, Excel, Outlook, PDF
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to organize work to meet deadlines
  • Available to work on some evenings and weekends if required
  • Experience with other trucking companies is a must
  • G License- Must have your own vehicle
  • General understanding of North American regions
  • CDL holder would be considered an asset
  • Punjabi speaking is an asset, but not mandatory
    Job Type: Full-time
    Pay: $28.00-$33.00 per hour
    Expected hours: 40 per week

Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with US FMCSA/DOT and Canada national safety code regulations and requirements by province.
  • Oversee the fleet and driver files to ensure compliance.
  • Manage the qualification renewal process
  • Assisting claim management through insurance
  • Assist with the driver hiring process to ensure drivers meet regulatory and company qualifications.
  • Support automobile insurance renewals by providing the information
  • Responsible for driver Hours of Service (HOS) from ELD logs and driver files and qualifications to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Perform audits and/or monitoring to ensure policy and procedure compliance
  • Support the incident investigation process upon occurrence of work-related incidents
  • Prepare reports on occurrences and provide statistical information to upper management and the customer.
  • Manage the CVOR events.

  • Annual Licensing Renewals
  • Ordering of US Transponders for Trucks and Assist with the Annual Renewal
  • Assist in the renewal of IFTA permits and New York HUT Permits, KYU Permits & New Mexico Permits
  • Order, maintain, track, and distribute All Special Permits
  • Order Driver Abstracts for Annual Reviews
  • Order, maintain, track, and distribute Driver Fuel Cards
  • Order, maintain, track, and distribute bridge cards for border crossing
  • Update records and provide reports as required
  • Assist with recruiting department to ensure the quality of drivers being brought on.
  • Be the first point of contact for all accidents/incidents and work with the insurance company from start to finish.
  • Generate Company driver miles for payroll
  • Generate Owner Operator statements
  • Ability to be on call to handle emergency situations / fuel card issues for drivers
  • Review Operating Authority Binders with new Owner Operators
  • Create, Maintain and Update Truck Operating Authority Binders
  • Set up and Maintain Master Records of Trucks, Trailers, and Drivers through our TruckMate TMS software
  • Fulfill any add’l responsibilities assigned by management.
