POSITION SUMMARY

The Safety Compliance Specialist is a field-based role focused on ensuring job site and workplace safety across construction, installation, warehouse, and distribution environments. This role serves as a hands-on safety presence in the field—conducting inspections, coaching teams, enforcing compliance, and driving a proactive safety culture.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years of safety experience in construction, installation, or a related field.
  • Strong working knowledge of OSHA construction safety standards.
  • Ability to engage and influence employees, subcontractors, and managers.
  • Excellent observation and problem-solving skills.
  • OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR, or other relevant safety certifications strongly preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel daily to job sites across NC and Southwest VA.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular job site and facility inspections to ensure compliance with OSHA, state, local, and company safety standards.
  • Serve as a visible, daily presence on construction and installation sites to support crews and subcontractors.
  • Deliver toolbox talks, safety orientations, and training for employees and subcontractors.
  • Investigate incidents, near misses, and hazards; determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.
  • Partner with installation teams, project managers, and coordinators to identify risks and implement safe work practices.
  • Enforce compliance with PPE usage, fall protection, and other critical job site requirements.
  • Maintain accurate safety records, inspection reports, and training documentation.
  • Support ongoing EHS initiatives and continuous improvement efforts across Pella Carolina operations.
