Start YOUR career with DHL today… DHL Express has an opening for a Safety Coordinator in our CVG Hub operation. The Safety Coordinator completes accident/ injury and safety metric reports and conducts safety inspections. They promote accident/injury prevention through observation and training and provide safety guidance to operations personnel. They lead employee safety meetings as needed. They conduct accident and injury investigations and promote the DHL safety culture. Key Responsibilities: Supports DHL's policies and procedures in regards to health and safety regulations. Administers safety reporting. Responds to injury and accident notifications and supports investigations. Facilitates safety training including new employee orientation. Identifies at risk behavior and conditions and supports Safety Specialists and Operations to correct. Attends Pre-Ops meetings with management team on behalf of Safety. Conducts daily walk round’s engaging employees on safety. Participates in safety committee meetings. Attends pre-shift employee meetings. Review’s every injury or accident with management. Provides support into root cause analysis and preventative measures identification. Attends and supports monthly safety training. Promotes the DHL safety culture and values. Skills & Qualifications: Must display a confident demeanor always while always supporting DHL values and 4 Pillars: Motivated People, Great Service Quality, Loyal Customers, and Profitable Network. Autonomy: Works under the supervision of a Safety Specialist. Is proactive and displays a can-do demeanor. Is positive and a self-starter. Provides or suggests solutions to problems. Impact: Assist in promoting safe behavior of hub personnel to reduce injuries and accident. Knowledge: Basic package handling, ramp and warehouse operations. People Management: Collaborates with Operations leaders to promote hub safety. Problem Complexity: Identifies unsafe conditions and behavior and works to correct.
