As a Safety Coordinator at Cadence McShane Construction, you will play a pivotal role in championing environmental, health, and safety (EHS) compliance across construction projects, while fostering a culture of safety and collaboration. Working with multiple project teams, you will conduct on-site training, implement safety programs, and drive operational excellence in adherence to federal, state, and company regulations. Based in Plano, TX, with regional offices in Austin, San Antonio, and Houston, the company delivers comprehensive general construction, design/build, and construction management services for commercial, education, multifamily, industrial, and senior living construction.

REQUIREMENTS

• Provide EHS leadership and operational support for project teams to ensure compliance with federal, state, and company regulations.
• Implement site-level EHS procedures.
• Conduct and manage safety training and audits.
• Assist project management in developing a knowledge base for site compliance
• Collaborate with others on a daily basis to provide EHS solutions.
• Maintain computerized EHS records.
• Champion a safety culture throughout job sites.
• Contribute to the Safety Committee’s best practice reports.
• Facilitate incident investigations and corrective actions.
• Work closely with Environmental and OSHA agencies.
• Understand and respond to regulation changes affecting ongoing projects.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health or a related field
• 4+ years’ experience in construction safety
• OSHA 30-hour training required
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work productively with clients, owners, project professionals, and both field and office team members.
• Leadership skills to direct field staff and ensure compliance with safety regulations and policies.
• Ability to proactively identify problems and develop solutions.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to use or learn project software.
• Fluency in Spanish a plus.

• Full-time, in-person role at multiple job sites.
• Valid U.S. Driver’s License and own car required.
• Authorization to work in the U.S. required.
