Description Position Summary: The Safety Coordinator is responsible for planning, implementing and overseeing Fidelity Manufacturing’s employees’ safety at work. The main duty is to ensure that the company is in compliance and adheres to Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) guidelines. Essential Functions: Plan and implement OSHA policies and programs Advise and lead employees on various safety-related topics Prepare educational seminars on a regular basis Organize & lead the safety committee Adhere to all the rules and regulations Fill-in on new hire orientation Conduct risk assessments Enforce preventative measures Investigate accidents to identify causes or to determine how such accidents might be prevented in the future Recommend measures to help protect workers from potentially hazardous work conditions. Inspect or evaluate workplace environments, equipment, or practices to ensure compliance with safety standards and government regulations Train, manage and guide the staff Check if all the employees are acting in adherence with rules and regulations (Floor Presence) Prepare and present reports on accidents and violations and determine causes Qualifications: • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a Safety Coordinator or similar safety-focused role. • Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations, safety legislation, and compliance requirements. • Knowledge of hazardous materials, workplace hazards, and preventative safety practices. • Experience conducting safety data analysis and preparing reports and statistics. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related documentation systems. • Strong organizational, time-management, and prioritization skills. • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities. • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively train, guide, and hold employees accountable to safety standards. • Occupational health and safety certifications preferred. Physical Requirements: The physical demands described below are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this role. Reasonable accommodations may be made for qualified individuals with disabilities. • Ability to stand and/or sit for extended periods. • Ability to walk on hard or uneven surfaces throughout office and production environments. • Ability to climb stairs, maintain balance, stoop, crouch, or crawl as required. • Ability to reach, handle equipment, and perform manual tasks as needed. • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with employees and leadership. • Ability to lift, push, pull, or move up to 50 lbs. when required Working Conditions: This role is performed primarily in an office environment using standard office equipment. Duties may also require regular presence in manufacturing and warehouse environments with exposure to fluctuating temperatures, elevated noise levels, airborne particles, moving machinery, and uneven surfaces. OSHA-compliant safety training, PPE, and safety procedures are provided and must be followed at all times when in production areas.
