What’s on offer?

Due to continuous business growth, we are seeking an additional Safety Coordinator to join our civil construction team. A predominantly site-based role, with our Richmond head office as your base, this position will be responsible for supporting our Safety Advisor’s and Managers working on a range of projects throughout Melbourne. Role responsibilities will include:

  • Ensure the projects operate consistently in accordance with the Health and Safety Management Plan and respective Site Safety Plans e.g. emergency plans, safety management plan, Workplace Risk Assessment.
  • Reporting of incidents and site related safety/ system issues to the Civil Safety Manager and ensuring effective implementation of actions arising from incidents/ non compliances.
  • Completing site orientations of all new employees including Visitors and Delivery Drivers to site.
  • Ensure all employees attending site sign onto SWMS relevant to the tasks they complete as part of the Site Orientation process.

How you will connect to the role:

  • Certificate 4 in Workplace Health & Safety – Minimum
  • Ideally completed or working towards a Diploma in WH&S
  • Prior experience would be beneficial (not mandatory)
  • Construction white card
  • Valid drivers licence
  • Positive attitude and demonstrate a willingness to learn
  • Willingness to work weekends and night shift on occasion (additional allowances will be paid during these periods)

Please note that it is a pre-requisite for this role to be onsite for at 7am everyday. Please take this into consideration before applying for the role.
