Description

This is a non-supervisory, site-based position responsible for the day-to-day coordination and execution of safety and environmental protocols. The coordinator ensures that all safety policies and procedures (P&Ps) are being followed and that required safety and environmental action items are completed promptly. The role requires considerable exposure to various elements such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and loud noises, as well as potentially dangerous materials that necessitate following extensive safety precautions and the use of protective equipment. Physical requirements include handling objects up to 25 pounds and the ability to stand and/or walk for more than four hours per day. NOTE: This job is a safety-sensitive position subject to drug testing requirements. A positive drug test will result in a job offer being rescinded or, for active employees, termination, even if they test positive for marijuana and have a valid medical marijuana license.
