JOB OVERVIEW

Legacy Mechanical, Inc. is seeking a proactive and detailed-oriented Safety Coordinator to support our onsite safety and health program. This role ensures compliance with OSHA regulations, promotes a culture of safety, and helps protect our employees from work-related safety hazards.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 2+ years of experience in a safety-related role, experience in construction safety preferred.
• Knowledge of OSHA standards and other relevant regulations.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• OSHA 10 or 30 Hours Certification or other safety credentials is a plus.
• Willingness to attain professional safety or other relevant certification is preferred.

  Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year

The Safety Coordinator reports to the Safety Manager and the key responsibilities include:

• Performs job-site safety inspections to ensure site-level compliance with OSHA, MSHA and other applicable regulatory requirements.
• Intervene in unsafe activities and provide corrective guidance
• Conduct job-site safety training.
• Attend job-site safety meetings and address safety concerns.
• Conduct initial job-site investigations for incidents involving vehicle accidents, property damage, injuries, and near misses.
• Monitor subcontractor work activities and enforce job-site compliance.
• Assist Safety Manager with safety policy development as needed.
• Assist Safety Manager with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Inspections.
• Assist Safety Manager with PPE inventory including purchasing and checkout.
• Assist with onboarding safety training for new hires as needed.
