What You’ll Do On a Typical Day: * Develop and conduct training for drivers and non-driving staff on necessary aspects of: * Federal and state transportation regulations. * Buchanan safety policies/practices. * Specifically, during Orientation for Road Testing, Pre and Post Equipment Inspections * Proper load securement including understanding of BHRI policies and procedures. * Documentation and route preparation/review (permits, measurements, etc.). * Smith System Defensive Driving training * Assist drivers with inspection of newly issued equipment (tarps, chains, etc.) * Develop and conduct training for drivers and non-driving staff on post-accident training. * Conduct documentation and training audits. Ensure corrective action is taken to remedy deficiencies/findings. * Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: * Minimum 3 years’ experience with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSR) * Knowledge of federal and state Department of Transportation (DOT) Motor Carrier regulations. * Experience developing / conducting training programs. * Current Homeland Security TWIC (Transportation Workers Identification Credentials), preferred * FMCSA Reasonable Suspicion training/certificate, preferred. * Experience with Loading/Unloading/Securement of Heavy Equipment Be part of something big.
