Description
Safety Worxs is seeking an experienced local Project Safety Coordinator to support a 3 month project in Port Arthur, TX. This is a project-level role with no direct reports, requiring a strong field presence and the ability to independently drive safety performance across a large-scale project. Responsibilities: Implement and enforce site-specific safety programs aligned with OSHA standards Conduct daily field inspections, audits, and hazard assessments Identify unsafe conditions and implement corrective actions in real time Lead toolbox talks, safety meetings, and workforce engagement initiatives Oversee high-risk activities including excavation, heavy equipment, and traffic control Support incident investigations and perform root cause analysis Maintain accurate safety documentation and compliance reporting Partner with project leadership and subcontractors to reinforce safety accountability Qualifications: 5+ years of construction safety experience EM 385 Certificate CHST Certificate Strong knowledge of OSHA construction standard Proven ability to operate independently as the lead safety professional on-site Strong field leadership and communication skills Local candidate preferred Benefits: 50 Hours per week, May include nights and weekends based on project needs Benefits package available ~3 months $45 – $55 per hour (DOE)
