We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Safety Coordinator to lead safety initiatives across our trucking operations. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in driver safety, regulatory compliance, accident investigation, and training. This role also includes spearheading the safety committee, working with insurance partners, and promoting a proactive safety culture among both company drivers and owner-operators.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive safety training for drivers and owner-operators, including onboarding, ongoing education, and corrective coaching.
  • Monitor and assess driver behavior using the Lytx DriveCam system, addressing unsafe practices promptly.
  • Lead full-cycle accident investigations:


    • Interview involved parties and witnesses

    • Review camera footage and evidence
    • Compile and present professional investigation reports
    • Recommend corrective or disciplinary action
    • Coordinate with insurance companies for timely and accurate reporting of incidents and claims.
    • Workers’ Compensation (WC) Management
    • Enforce safety compliance through disciplinary processes, coaching, and documentation.
    • Safety program management that pursues risk mitigation and accident prevention.
    • Create training program that engages employees and allows follow up through the employee life cycle.
    • Conduct safety audits on vehicles, terminals, and documentation to ensure DOT, FMCSA, and OSHA compliance.
    • In-depth knowledge of DOT regulations.
    • Create and monitor safety protocols and ensure compliance with all fleet drivers and operators.
