The Safety Coordinator is responsible for supporting and promoting a strong safety culture across the Western Region by ensuring compliance with company policies, OSHA, DOT, and FMCSA regulations. This role focuses on reducing workplace risk, preventing incidents, and ensuring consistent implementation of safety programs across all locations. The position supports training, audits, incident investigations, claims management, and operational compliance activities. Duties/Responsibilities: Promote a culture of safety throughout the organization. Conduct Bi-annual location safety audits assessing company compliance with safety regulations. Assist with purchasing/selling/coding of forklifts with all MacArthur locations. Manage invoicing for First Aid/CPR/AED training through Cintas or other means. Main POC for Washington LNI W/C and third-party claims intervention service. Manage and maintain all aspects of E-log System for company according to FMSCA standards. Manage inventory of devices used for the E-Log system for all users on current ELD platform. Manage the Detroit Connect system adding/moving/removing vehicles, as necessary. Manager ordering and distribution of vehicle spill kits. Participate in annual safety training conferences and continuing education opportunities. Manage Hiab Hi-Skill VR equipment/training/tracking for boom truck delivery drivers. Manage/Train ELD delivery document compliance and monthly job site inspections for company. Performs other related duties as assigned. Ensure compliance w/ OSHA, DOT, FMCSA for all federal and state safety regulations. Conduct quarterly safety training and support ongoing safety education across the region. Manage workers’ compensation, general liability, and auto claims with in Western region. Guide employee and management through the company Return-to-Work program. Manage OSHA compliance including recordkeeping, violations, and regulatory interpretation. Performs other related duties as assigned. Qualifications: Minimum of two (2) years of safety and/or security experience required. Knowledge of OSHA, DOT, FMCSA regulations, and company safety standards. Understanding of emergency preparedness, safety protocols, and risk management principles. Proficient Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe or similar business software. Strong organizational skills, leadership skills, and attention to detail. Ability to work effectively with employees, managers, and vendors. Advanced safety training or certifications in safety and security preferred. Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing education.
