Description SAFETY DATA AND SYSTEMS ANALYST Department: Corporate Division: Safety Location: Corporate HQ – Cerritos, CA Classification: Full-Time, Exempt Reports To Safety Manager Position Summary Ecology Auto Parts Inc. is seeking a Safety Data and Systems Analyst to support and enhance the organization’s safety reporting, compliance tracking, and operational analytics functions. This position serves as the primary administrator and analyst for safety-related systems and reporting platforms, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timely presentation of safety metrics to executive leadership. The Safety Data and Systems Analyst is responsible for maintaining and optimizing safety reporting tools, including Samsara and enterprise analytics platforms. The role produces recurring executive safety reports, analyzes and models risk trends, supports DOT, CSA, and OSHA compliance documentation, and provides field leadership with data-driven performance insights to strengthen accountability and reduce operational risk. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong analytical capability, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to translate complex safety data into clear, actionable reporting. This position requires a structured, process-oriented professional who can operate effectively within both manual and system-driven reporting environments while maintaining data governance and reporting accuracy. Responsibilities Administer and optimize all safety-related reporting systems, including Samsara and other compliance and analytics platforms. Produce recurring weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual safety performance reports for executive leadership Monitor and analyze DOT, OSHA, CSA, and internal safety metrics to ensure regulatory compliance and operational accountability. Develop and maintain performance dashboards and analytical reporting tools to evaluate incident trends, driver behavior data, and compliance performance. Perform routine data audits to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and completeness of safety documentation and reporting records. Assist in preparing and organizing safety documentation for audits, inspections, insurance reviews, and regulatory inspections and audits. Collaborate with Field Safety Supervisors and Operations leadership to identify data-driven opportunities for risk reduction and performance improvement Support risk modeling and trend analysis to proactively identify exposure areas. Maintain organized documentation of safety records, compliance logs, and reporting archives. Support HR/EHS Director with special projects, reporting requests, and continuous improvement initiatives. Requirements Qualifications/Knowledge/Critical Skills Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in data analysis, safety compliance reporting, or related operational analytics role. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel requires strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with Samsara, or similar compliance and fleet management systems strongly preferred. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail. Ability to present data findings clearly and concisely to leadership. Ability to manage multiple reporting deadlines in a structured and process-driven environment. Strong organizational skills with disciplined documentation practices. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across departments. Bilingual (English/Spanish). Compensation The Safety Data and Systems Analyst position offers a competitive salary range of $71,000.00 to $88,000.00 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. Final compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, certifications, and demonstrated analytical expertise.
