Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Safety Net Installation Technician to join our team. As a Safety Net Installation Technician, your primary responsibility will be installing horizontal debris netting systems in the Toronto area. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of construction sites by professionally installing and maintaining safety net systems. The ideal candidate should have experience working at heights, driving a truck and trailer, and be comfortable working outdoors in both summer and winter conditions.

Responsibilities:

  • Safely and efficiently install horizontal debris netting systems on construction sites in Toronto (in crews of 2 to 3 people).
  • Follow established procedures and safety guidelines for the installation of safety nets.
  • Inspect and assess worksites to determine the appropriate placement and installation requirements.
  • Securely anchor safety nets to designated structures using specialized equipment and techniques.
  • Ensure that safety nets are properly tensioned and secured to provide optimum protection against falling debris.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and accurate completion of installations.
  • Perform regular maintenance and inspections of safety net systems to ensure their effectiveness and compliance with safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of installations, maintenance activities, and any incidents or issues encountered.
  • Adhere to company policies, safety regulations, and industry best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including extreme temperatures and inclement weather.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Experience driving a truck and trailer is an asset.
  • Previous experience in working at heights or aa safety-related role preferred
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00-$28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 80 per week
