As the Safety Direct and Licencing Manager at Sainsbury’s, you will lead and manage a team responsible for ensuring accurate and timely information is available in safety systems regarding accidents, near misses, and investigations, while also overseeing the processing and tracking of licences to ensure legal compliance. You will work closely with various departments, such as Crime and Security and Facilities Management, to coordinate efforts and maintain accurate data. Your role will involve coaching and supporting the team in maintaining high standards of accident reporting, investigations, and compliance with regulations such as Reporting Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations (RIDDOR) and Licencing Act 2003. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in streamlining processes, ensuring customer service excellence, and providing safety alerts to the leadership team in case of significant incidents, all while contributing to short and medium-term strategies for improving reporting and safety alerts within the organisation.
