OVERVIEW

Raymond of New Jersey is a Premiere Material Handling Company, located in Union New Jersey.
Currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Safety Director to lead RNJ’s safety initiatives and ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in occupational health and safety, with expertise in OSHA (1910.178) regulations and EPA standards. This role is crucial for fostering a safe workplace culture and minimizing risks associated with operations.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s or associate degree from college or university; or two to four years of related experience.
  • Proven experience in a safety management role within the manufacturing industry.
  • Goal-oriented and self-motivated with a strong work ethic
  • Successful in building and retaining client relationships
  • In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations, EPA guidelines.
  • Strong skills in report writing and documentation related to safety audits and incident investigations.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to train groups effectively.
  • Strong analytical skills for conducting risk assessments and implementing corrective actions.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety policies.
  • Provide training and development programs for employees on safety practices, first aid, CPR, and emergency response procedures.
  • Lead incident investigations using root cause analysis to determine underlying issues and prevent future occurrences.
  • Prepare detailed reports on safety performance metrics, incidents, and compliance audits for management review.
  • Collaborate with various departments to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement in occupational health practices.
  • Provide Forklift training to employees and clients
  • Generate new business opportunities through outreach, networking, and relationship-building
  • Travel extensively within the assigned territory to deliver services
