JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a dedicated Safety Engineer to lead and promote a culture of safety within a large manufacturing company. This position offers a unique opportunity to ensure compliance with safety and environmental programs, regulations, and company policies. The role is integral in conducting job hazard analyses, reviewing standards, and creating effective training programs.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

  • Experience as a Safety Engineer.
  • Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, ISO, ISO, and OSHAS standards.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in safety and environmental within a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability and willingness to train large groups.

ADDITIONAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with accident investigations.
  • Knowledge of OH DEP regulations.
Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and promote a SAFE First Culture.
  • Ensure facility compliance with safety and environmental programs, regulations, and company policy.
  • Perform job hazard analyses to identify potential losses and recommend corrective actions.
  • Review location standards, policies, and practices to ensure they are current and aligned with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Safety Manager to create training programs.
  • Maintain required records and prepare reports to meet corporate and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct warehouse safety and environmental inspections.
  • Organize and coordinate emergency response initiatives.
  • Conduct ergonomics assessments and implement solutions.
  • Organize and lead the safety committee.
  • Lead job safety analysis and accident investigation and reporting.
  • Facilitate ISO and ISO certifications.
  • Complete monthly training on safety and environmental topics.
