Role Summary The Safety Engineer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring safety programs and procedures across the project. This role ensures that all construction activities comply with safety regulations, project-specific HSE plans, and international best practices. The engineer will work closely with contractors, consultants, and internal teams to promote a strong safety culture, prevent incidents, and support safe execution of all infrastructure or building works. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement project-specific safety plans, procedures, and risk management strategies. Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and hazard assessments to ensure compliance with safety standards. Review and approve contractor safety documentation, including method statements and risk assessments. Identify unsafe conditions and practices, ensuring corrective and preventive actions are implemented. Lead safety training sessions, toolbox talks, and awareness programs for site personnel. Investigate incidents, prepare detailed reports, and follow up on corrective measures. Monitor compliance with local regulations, international standards, and project requirements. Maintain accurate safety records, logs, and documentation. Support emergency response planning, drills, and readiness activities. Qualifications & Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Safety Engineering, or a related field. Minimum 12 years of experience in infrastructure or building projects. Strong knowledge of safety regulations, risk management, and construction safety practices. Experience working on large‑scale or complex developments is preferred. Excellent communication, analytical, and reporting skills. Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams and contractors.
